Meet Dr. Colby Clark
Cybersecurity Executive • Incident Commander • Author • Educator
Dr. Colby Clark is a seasoned cybersecurity executive, leader, incident commander, security architect, author, and educator with a career spanning more than two decades. He earned his Doctor of Science in Cybersecurity from Marymount University and has been active in the cybersecurity field since 1999.
Throughout his career, Dr. Clark has led cybersecurity response and architecture teams, directed complex incident responses, led PCI/PFI engagements, designed secure environments, and advised executive leadership for Fortune 100 companies, healthcare entities, financial institutions, government agencies, and organizations of all sizes worldwide.

As an incident commander, he has managed countless high-severity cyber incident types, including ransomware, pervasive malware, data breaches, insider threats, APT, and nation-state intrusions, coordinating multidisciplinary teams throughout the incident lifecycle to minimize impact and accelerate recovery.
Dr. Clark is the author of the Cybersecurity Master's Guide series and a trusted voice in the profession, teaching best-of-breed incident response/management methodologies. He is committed to advancing the practice of cybersecurity through real-world insights, pragmatic frameworks and playbooks, and education that prepares professionals to lead when it matters most.
