Meet the Instructor

Colby Clark

Colby Clark is a senior information security professional with over 25 years of experience and leadership in security-related fields, including: computer incident response & management, digital forensics, malware analysis, eDiscovery, cybersecurity architecture, regulatory compliance, technical writing, professional curriculum development, and other security related fields.

Colby received a Master of Science in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance from Western Governors University and graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Southern California. He maintains industry relevant certifications, including: MSCSIA, CISA, CISM, CISSP, CEH, CHFI, EnCE, GIAC: GCCC, GCFA, GCWN, GREM, GCIH, GNFA, GDAT, GDSA, GLEG, CIM, CIC, CIMPD, and CSSA.

He has taught advanced computer forensic and incident response techniques at the Computer and Enterprise Investigations Conference (CEIC), Techno Security Conference, Enterprise Security Solutions Summit (ES3), Secure World, and other venues. He has performed time and threat relevant eminence and security evangelism activities, including writing whitepapers, posting blog entries, and performing speaking engagements regarding information security and incident response topics.

Colby has published other works in addition to the “Cybersecurity Incident Management Masters Guide” series, as an author and/or co-author of various genres. He authored the “Hacking the Human Brain” series and also collaborated on various information security works, such as Hacking Exposed Linux, 3rd edition and was a developer of the Open Source Security Testing Methodology Manual (OSSTMM), by the Institute for Security Open Methodologies (ISECOM).
